FROM SCRAPS CERAMICS

person Posted By: Up To Do Good

On November 5 team Up To Do Good visited Cor Unum, a contemporary ceramics atelier in Den Bosch. Cor Unum produces exclusive high-quality ceramics.

The name Cor Unum stands for 'of one heart'. Everyone has a talent that deserves to be recognised. To underline this, the designer bowls and vases by Cor Unum are produced by people at distance to the labor market. It is all done with so much dedication and skill that both national and international designs are entrusted to this ceramic workshop. The designs that are developed at Cor Unum can be characterised by the way they showcase the almost unlimited possibilities of clay and people.

FROM SCRAPS tableware

Together with Cor Unum, Up To Do Good produced beautiful tableware. It is built up from leftover clay and contributes to waste reduction. These pieces of clay are collected in the factory and they are the basis for the FROM SCRAPS ceramics. To make it possible to bake the ceramics on high temperatures, Cor Unum added its own secret ingredients, making the ceramics very endurable and dishwasher proof.

The combination of all the different clay sorts gives the tableware its characteristic colour and makes every piece unique. Please note that, as the mixture of ingredients is always different, colours and thickness can vary, but this imperfection only adds to the uniqueness of this product.

FROM SCRAPS tableware

FROM SCRAPS is available in a coffee cup, a tea cup, an espresso cup, a plate, a bowl and a pitcher. With the proceeds of this tableware, Up To Do Good supports initiatives that are connected to SGD 8, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
