Komono
Durable sunglasses with eye-catching frames and trendy colours.
The Antwerp brand Komono makes sustainable sunglasses. The Komono brand was founded in 2009 by the ex-professional snowboarders Anton Janssens and Raf Maes.
The frames of the Komono sunglasses are made of cellulose propionate (CP), stainless steel, recycled or recyclable Italian acetate. This material makes the sunglasses strong and durable. Komono sunglasses are real eye-catchers with their striking frames and trendy colours. The sunglasses are light which makes them comfortable to wear. And the anti-scratch layer on the glasses ensures a longer life.
The sunglasses are made in small factories in China. Several times a year, Komono visits their factories and checks them to make sure that there is absolutely no forced labour, child labour, fair wages paid, working hours are acceptable and the buildings and production processes are safe .
With every pair of sunglasses you get a glasses case, which is made from recycled PET bottles.
