Jos van der Meulen, a Rotterdam artist, constantly devises new ways to give materials a second life. That's how he came up with the " Pondje papier" (Pound of paper): a notebook made of leftover A0 advertisement posters. These posters are printed on waterproof paper with a blue backside that is very suitable as notepaper. Very often, the printing house produces more advertisement posters than are actually used. The remainder is collected and sorted by Jos. In The Hague, in sheltered employment, these posters are further processed to wide strips and glued together to a clear cut pound of paper. A drill hole serves as a 100% soluble pen holder and Jos added a very nice cardboard pen. All in all it weighs approximately 500 grams: a pound of paper.

The pound of paper is available in the store.
