Up To Do Good is all about our mission and adding value throughout the entire chain. Products can hold value for you and me, but also for the makers, the communities where they live, and the world around us. Our philosophy is that the world does not end with the consumer — it is the beginning of something good.

Mission & Brands

Our mission is the foundation of how we select our brands. The products we sell must be sustainable in terms of materials, but preferably also socially sustainable. This means they are made responsibly, with careful consideration for social factors, environmental impact, economic benefits for the makers, and without causing harm to health or the environment — not only during production, but throughout the entire lifecycle of the product.

Think of T-shirts made from organic cotton by Dedicated and On Vacation, alpaca wool scarves by Alpaca Loca, bags made from surplus leather by O My Bag, jewelry crafted from recycled silver by T.I.T.S., natural handmade soaps by Botma & Van Bennekom, and raincoats made from recycled PET bottles by Maium.

At Up To Do Good, we aim to offer as many circular products as possible. Some brands, such as Ucon Acrobatics, have already fully mastered this approach. Other brands focus more on social sustainability, ensuring that makers work in a healthy environment and receive fair wages. Brands such as A Beautiful Story, for example, place a strong emphasis on social sustainability.

Pre Loved

In addition, we collaborate with certain brands for our Pre Loved collection. In this collection, we sell items with a small imperfection or products that have been used for photoshoots (for example, a loose seam) but are still beautiful. Normally, these items would be thrown away.

Our Pre Loved collection rescues these items, and we sell them at a small discount in our store at Schiphol Plaza.

Donations

It is certainly a challenge, but we make careful considerations when choosing the brands we sell, and we conduct extensive research. Consumers are already overwhelmed with options and information, so we have created a truly beautiful selection of genuinely sustainable brands.

And when you buy something from us, we donate our profits to charities and initiatives such as the Food Bank, War Child, Human Rights Watch, and many more.
