The name Jekkah comes from the Wolof language, spoken by more than 10 million people across West Africa, mainly in Senegal and The Gambia. It means: to be beautiful, elegant and well-dressed. Exactly what we stand for.
Founded in the vibrant and multicultural streets of Camden Town, London, JEKKAH started as a humble market stall in 2013. Today, our bold colours and iconic prints have found their way into underground scenes across the globe, while staying true to our roots.
Every item by JEKKAH is Limited Edition. We produce only a small quantity of each fabric design and never restock prints. That means when you wear JEKKAH, you're wearing something truly unique — because standing out should never look the same on everyone.
From relaxing at home to dancing at festivals or owning the streets, JEKKAH is designed to fit your lifestyle. Through extensive market research, we create pieces with the perfect fit and distinctive designs unlike anything else out there.
Our mission has always been to brighten the world with the unapologetic boldness of African colours and prints, while creating space to celebrate the creativity and influence of Africans across the diaspora.
Every garment is ethically produced in The Gambia and Ghana by trusted local tailors. Our wax prints are sourced directly from local merchants, ensuring that our supply chain remains within the community and supports local economies.
