While travelling through Java, Indonesia, we discovered new flavours, rich traditions and, above all, the warmth of the people we met. A shared meal, a conversation with a stranger, a cup of tea offered without asking. Small moments that showed us the power of bringing people together.
And that's where Hikayat began.
Inspired by Indonesian culture and traditions, we set out to discover the stories behind tea. From traditional drinks like wedang uwuh to distinctive herbs and spices, every cup holds a piece of history worth sharing.
Today, we bring these stories to life through tea, creating moments to slow down, explore new flavours and connect with one another.
