Up To Do Good supports De Voedselbank
Throughout the month of December, customers of our Schiphol Plaza store were able to directly donate a product to the Food Bank with every purchase. Together, we were able to help a lot of people in need of food assistance.
About the Food Bank
More than 1 million people live below the poverty line. The food bank helps 40,000 families weekly with food assistance, combating food waste.
Times of crisis and inflation are extra difficult for Food Banks. Companies are much less likely to give away their food stocks and, if they do, the food is usually almost past the expiry date. On the other hand, the number of families who need help increases.
The Food Bank aims to be a temporary solution for its customers. That’s why the Food Banks co-operate with local organisations to help people get back on their own feet.
