All weak, sick, young and injured animals will find shelter at the Toevlucht. At the shelter, located on a green isle in the Bijlmerweide park in Amsterdam- South East, the animals are taken in, cared for and have the chance to recover. When they are back on their feet and healthy, they are restored back to nature. Annually, around five thousand birds and over five hundred mammals recover in the shelter. They are brought in from Amsterdam, Amstelveen and surroundings on a daily basis by private people and the animal ambulances. This year De Toevlucht has given shelter to 3827 animals. Up To Do Good is very happy to be able to support De Toevlucht with their work!
