Lovely during the cold winter months or on a breezy summer evening, is sitting on the couch with a nice plaid. We sell lovely, soft plaids from Return To Sender and Alpaca Loca.

Mountain villages in Ecuador

The Dutch Simone Post traveled especially to Ecuador to design plaids and pillows. The combed merino wool ensures that the plaids are super soft. Weaving is an old craft in the mountain villages in Ecuador. Because of the cooperation that Return to Sender makes possible, the makers of these plaids can maintain themselves and their families.

Silky soft

The plaids from Alpaca loca come also from Ecuador. The wool is shaved off of the alpacas, completely animal-friendly, when their fur gets to warm for the summer. In the mountain villages the hard working women weave the plaids, under good working conditions. Alpaca wool makes the plaids softer than silk and warmer than sheep wool. The wool naturally appears in 52 colours, thus has it little rework.
