GOOD SUNNIES – The future is looking good! We are very proud to have KOMONO in our selection of goods, true sustainable design sunglasses that have a surprising color palette and forward-thinking aesthetic. KOMONO has succeeded in pushing limits for over ten years. Founded in 2009 in Belgium by ex-professional snowboarders Anton Janssens and Raf Maes, KOMONO breaks convention and offers a fresh, new proposition.



KOMONO believes we all collectively have a responsibility to progress towards a more sustainable future. At KOMONO, they are taking a pioneering role in rendering innovative design not only accessible but also viable on the long term. This means they are constantly adapting how they conduct the business, whether it be in the choice of materials used, the way the products are packaged or in the daily practices.

Since day one, KOMONO wanted to have a positive impact on planet and people. In 2015 they launched the Neutro collection, a capsule with a reduced carbon footprint. The search for new materials has not stopped since. Staying at the forefront of technological innovation, KOMONO integrated materials that are both sustainable but give the freedom to design.

Because of these innovations, KOMONO can now present a collection that is completely made from sustainable materials which do good for both planet and people. And this while keeping in line with their mission to bring fashion-forward design at an accessible price point.

KOMONO uses the following raw materials:



Eco Acetate - A modified natural polymer, made by wood pulp and cotton fibre mixed with plasticizers. Depending on the manufacturer, the eco acetate has between 61% to 68% bio based content. 



Stainless Steel - Used in their eyewear and in some of their watches, stainless steel is fully renewable and recyclable. Using steel scrap in the production process reduces CO2 emissions by 58%, air pollution by 86%, water use by 40% and water pollution by 76%.



Titanium - 
A light but strong metal and weather resistant. Similarly to the stainless steel, it is fully renewable and recyclable.
